Alfred Konrad, chef/owner of Wahoo’s Bistro & Patio, born and trained in Austria arrived in Bermuda in 1981. Geza Wolf was born in Hungary and brought up in Germany where he trained as a chef at the Hotel Ulmer Spatz in Ulm, Donau.
Geza worked in many leading restaurants including the Forellenfischer Restaurant in Weiler, the Hotel Der Königschof in Munich and Feinkost Käfer in, Munich, the leading caterer in Germany.
In 1981 Geza came to Bermuda to work for The Southampton Princess Hotel, as the Head Chef for The Whaler Inn Restaurant.
Geza branched out on his own in 1984, when he founded and operated The Beer Garden and The Flying Chef Catering Service. Geza very quickly became the leading caterer in Bermuda and had great success for over 20 years, selling the business in 2004.
Geza then moved on to his next venture and found the perfect location for Wahoo’s Bistro and Patio, in St. Georges, which he started with his friend Alfred Konrad in June 2010.
The rest is history as Wahoo’s has become a very successful icon in St. Georges, known throughout the island and very popular with locals and visitors alike.
